Speaking of that, the first thing that comes to mind is hot celebrities, models, movies and the like. Come to think of it, what was the biggest blockbuster of 2011? Despite what you might think the answer is (unless you’re copy pasting the title of the post) – you can’t get this right. Its NOT a movie! That’s right, the entertainment world was upside down this Christmas season when a video game – broke the largest grossing movies record in sixteen days! No duh, it was Activisions ‘Call of Duty – Modern warfare 3’, making one BILLION USD in less than 16 days! Activision Publishing CEO Eric stated : “more than 1.5 million people queued at 13,000 shops at midnight on Monday to buy Modern Warfare 3, making it the largest retail release in Activision's history and in the industry's history”. It broke Avatar’s (movie) record by one day, making it the biggest happening in the entertainment industry for 2011. It’s basically a first person shooter, modern warfare style, with everything from guns to air strikes. ‘But why do people like it so much’?
